Xueying Yang

Xueying graduated from the College of Health and Human Science at Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management in May 2016. After graduation, she continued to complete her 1-year food and beverage Practical Training Program at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Xueying’s passion for business analytics was first sparked in the revenue management class during her college years at Purdue. During her practical training program, she took initiatives and created multiple analytical projects to standardize serving process, minimize food waste and increase guest satisfaction. The success of these projects made her feel the urge to equip herself with the most updated technical tools and quantitative skills for her future career in business analytics. Therefore, she decided to pursue her MS in Business Analytics and Information Management.

Xueying’s career goal is to utilize her prior experience in hospitality with the analytical skills to help hospitality companies identify problems and provide potential solutions.
