Purdue University's Business English and Culture Bootcamp
The Business English and Culture Bootcamp is designed for current Krannert undergraduate students and beginning Krannert Master's of Science in Finance and One-Year MBA for STEM professionals students. Students from other Purdue University academic programs will also be considered for admissions into the Business English and Culture Bootcamp.

The Business English and Culture Bootcamp (BECB) is an exciting program designed for international students at the Krannert School of Management who wish to enhance their Business English skills, develop a deeper understanding of business culture and customs, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in today’s global business setting. Although the program is intended for current Krannert undergraduate students, incoming Masters of Science in Finance (MS(F)) students, and incoming One-Year MBA for STEM Professionals students, we will also consider applications from students in other academic programs at Purdue.
Application - Those interested in attending the BECB are encouraged to fill out the registration located at the bottom of this page by May 1st, 2014. Applicants will be evaluated to determine their eligibility to participate and contacted by a program administrator shortly thereafter.
Program Details - Classes will be held on the Purdue University in Rawls Hall/Krannert Building, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with lunch provided.
The program will be led by Purdue Instructors who have extensive experience working with specialized business English courses. The curriculum will include an intense English Practicum—reading, writing, vocabulary, citations, as well as in-depth exploration into cultural topics such as business and professional etiquette, corporate culture, management and gender, networking and other professional development practices. The cohort will also go on cultural trips, visit local companies to engage with business professionals, and hear from speakers from the Purdue and West Lafayette communities.
The grading structure for the BECB is pass/fail. Students who successfully finish each step of the program will receive a certificate of completion and three university credits that do not count towards graduation.
Costs - Program cost is $3,054.90 USD per student, which includes lunch and snacks, books, materials and transportation to and from corporate and cultural visits.
