MSHRM Curriculum

The rigorous curriculum construing the MSHRM program requires an intense devotion and will to learn. At Krannert, you will have numerous opportunities to enhance your leadership acumen. A terrific example of this is the "Experiencing Leadership: A Transformational Journey from Gettysburg" taught by Dr. Brad Alge. Professor Alge examines leadership in organizations using the Civil War Battlefield as a classroom.  Requirements for the MSHRM degree can be met in 6 modules (3 semesters).  To earn a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management (MSHRM), students must complete at least 48 hours of coursework in the following areas:

To earn a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management (MSHRM), students must complete at least 48 hours of coursework in the following areas:

Human Resource Management Core Coursework
The following courses must be completed to satisfy the HR core requirement for the MSHRM degree:

MBA Core Coursework
The following courses must be completed to satisfy the Management core requirement for the MSHRM degree:

In addition, students must complete at least 8 credit hours of Management electives to reach a total of 16 management core credits. Options include:

MSHRM Electives

Students must complete 6 elective credit hours (e.g., three 2-credit classes) offered in the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources area (OB/HR). OB/HR elective offerings may change from time to time. Examples of OB/HR electives offered in the past include:

Additional RequirementsIn addition to the requirements listed above students must:
