The faculty at Krannert has been amazing throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies. Before I started at Purdue and Krannert, I didn’t expect to have interactions with the faculty beyond the classroom; however, I’ve been surprised and fortunate to develop strong relationships with the faculty that goes beyond that. I have discussed career and graduate school plans with faculty, and they are always receptive to meeting with me to discuss future plans. This extra effort from the faculty is something I have greatly benefited from and it has helped me formulate my career goals.

There are also plenty of concerts and shows organized by Purdue Convocations that allow you to see popular singers right here on campus!
What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?
What I like most about Krannert and Purdue is the sense of community. When I’m in Rawls, or really anywhere on campus, I feel so comfortable with the people around me. You start seeing some the same faces around the school and it seems like people take a generous interest in your success. Despite the academic competitiveness, I have never had a scenario where somebody in my class wouldn’t help me learn a subject matter I was struggling with. These factors make it enjoyable to study at Krannert.

Who is the person, business world or otherwise, that you most admire, and why?
The person who I admire most in the business world is Tom Lunsford, a senior accounting supervisor at Caterpillar Inc. While many tend to admire a well-known figure, I find Tom to be a great role model both professionally and personally. During my opportunity to work with him, I admired his academic accomplishments, great work ethic, impressive career accomplishments, lofty future goals, and his ability to extract the best results from the people he managed.
When we catch up with you in 10 years, what do you expect to be doing?
In ten years, I plan on being a tax manager or senior manager working in public accounting. I am excited about working at this level in the public accounting, as this is where you get more exposure into developing tax strategies that add substantial value to a client’s business.
