Tip to Mentees:

I would tell any incoming college freshman it is okay to not know what you want to do with your life. College is more than just academics. It includes trying new activities, meeting people from all over the world, networking and enjoying some of the most independent responsibility free years of your life. That being said, I would advise them to work on their resume, join a few clubs, volunteer, gain leadership experience, go to a job fair and work hard in their classes. I would tell Krannert freshman specifically that taking classes outside of Krannert and job shadowing people in different business fields are invaluable experiences that help you hone in on what you want to do. Krannert can be intimidating, and even as an incoming junior I don’t have life figured out.
