Top Tip to Mentees:

  • I would tell them to get involved in a few clubs, especially one related to their major. Then from there make use of all of the activities and opportunities the clubs offer. Another big tip would be to do as many mock interviews and mock career fairs as possible. Those are less stressful than the real thing, but also give you the feel for what to expect. To also go with that, I would recommend doing as much research into companies as possible before these events. Knowing the companies you want to work for is of the utmost importance. You can be as interested as anyone out there in a company, but if the only thing you know about them is they are an investment firm, accounting firm, or whatever you aren't going be very capable of selling yourself.
