Tip to Mentees:

  • I would tell the incoming freshmen students to get involved when they come to college. There are so many clubs on campus for students to join and meet so many people at. I would also tell them to make sure to dedicate some time to their health. For a lot of students, this is their first taste of independence and while it may be fun to eat junk food and stay up in the wee hours of the morning, it will benefit them more if they made healthier decisions. I would specifically tell the Krannert incoming freshmen to take time to know their professors. The Krannert School of Management has some amazing professors and by getting to know them, students can learn so much more about the business world. Lastly, I would tell them to have fun in college. The next four years of their lives are going to fly by and it is important to enjoy them. While studying and getting good grades is important, students should be able to look back at their college years and remember all the good times they had with their friends.
