Top Tip to Mentees:

  • I would advise them to get involved on campus, whether it is just one organization or ten. Involvement helps with assimilation and creating new bonds on campus. I would also give them personal advice on how to study, where to study, and what they should expect in upcoming classes.  College exams and preparation take getting use to. Based on how you like to study Purdue offers a wide array of options and locations that incoming students may not be aware of. I would also advice them to create a connection with one of their professors. The professors here want you to succeed and will do most anything in there scope of power to aid you.  Professors are a great resource for questions and resume recommendations.
