What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?
"My favorite thing would be the people of both Krannert and Purdue - my colleagues, staff, and students. I especially like the fact that I get to work with people from all over the globe and that we often work across academic disciplines."

How would you describe West Lafayette?
"West Lafayette is a small but energetic college town located in the middle of Indiana, and yet has a very international flavor. It is family-friendly, with excellent schools and a very reasonable cost of living. Being a college town, there are always lots of things to do, ranging from culture and the arts to sporting events. We are also very close to Chicago and Indianapolis with all of their big-city amenities."

Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?
"The Krannert School offers a world-class business education in an intimate, family-oriented atmosphere. From applying quantitative analysis to management problems to making the world a better place through service, Krannert students are improving not only the business world, but the entire world."

What do you enjoy most about teaching?
"My favorite moments are when students pick up on difficult concepts and start to gain confidence in complex subject matter. It is also very rewarding when students come back from internships or check in after graduation and let me know that they found the course to be helpful in their professional lives."

How would you describe your teaching style?
"I am a big fan of learning by doing whenever possible. I try to incorporate hands-on activities both inside and outside of my classes so that students can immediately apply the material. Particularly in MIS, the lessons 'stick' much better if students are able to experience something as opposed to just reading the book. In MIS, we use software, simulations, team projects, and case studies to achieve this."

How would you describe your fellow faculty members at Krannert?
"I would describe my Krannert colleagues as not only world-class researchers and teachers but also as people who truly want Krannert and Purdue to be the very best place for their students, their colleagues, the people of Indiana and the nation."

What are your current research interests?
"I am currently interested in how organizations manage information security-related risks and security policies."

What are some of your hobbies?
"I try to spend as much time with my husband and children as possible. There is always a band concert or sporting event to attend. We also like to travel and explore the area attractions in our free time."
