What extracurricular clubs are you in involved in at Krannert, and how have they contributed to your experience?
"I am a member of the International Business club, Krannert Graduate Student Association (KGSA) and am the recently elected president of the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA). This club works to empower women and prepare them for leadership positions, as well as to promote diversity in the workforce. It shows the importance of business networking, leadership, professional development, and collaboration."
How has Krannert helped in your internship/job search?
"Krannert helps its students to improve resumes, coverletters, and various business emails. Student organizations help to show the importance of networking and attending conferences and career fairs."
How would you describe the Krannert faculty?
"Faculty show an interest in their students' professional development, going out of their way to help you. They care to get to know their students both inside and outside of the classroom, and often network and socialize with students during coffee and social hours on a weekly basis."
Your classmates come from a variety of work backgrounds...what have you been able to learn from them?
"We are able to see how corporations, non-profits, governmental or military services, as well as international organizations, view various business activities. Their experiences can be applied to course concepts and allow students to hear real-world examples of concepts we are discussing."
How has the diversity of the Krannert School enhanced your experience?
"Students are able to encounter firsthand cultural differences and how they affect the way you must do business. These differences often result in the sharing of invaluable personal experiences from a different culture."
How has the Krannert School helped develop your leadership skills?
"Krannert encourages students to expand beyond their comfort zones, and to prepare themselves for leadership in corporate America. Krannert currently has approximately 22 clubs, all with their own leaders/officers. If students chose not to become a president or vice president of a club, they are encouraged to share ideas and show leadership within the clubs"
