Teaching Methods & Faculty
Teaching Methods
Teaching methods have been developed and selected to ensure a positive and beneficial learning experience. The in-class methods include lectures, discussions, case analyses, student presentations, group projects, computer simulations, and guest speakers from industry and government. The on-line methods include material review, on-line discussions, and preparation of assignments. The curriculum and teaching approach have been adapted to the experience levels of seasoned professionals and to alternate between periods of intense activity (especially during residencies) with select down-time to ensure an intense but manageable process. Serious preparation is expected, and academic standards are carefully maintained, to ensure the integrity of the earned degrees. At the same time, the program is continuously reviewed to ensure a quality experience for the participants.
Faculty
Classes in the EMBA Program are taught by the senior faculty at the Krannert School of Management. All have taught extensively in executive programs previously, have substantial research and publication records, and have experience as consultants to corporations and government agencies.
