Admissions Philosophy
Holistic Admission Review Process
The high quality of Krannert students drives the success of our professional master’s programs. Applications for admission are reviewed on an individual basis. In determining admission, the depth and breadth of each student’s application is carefully analyzed. This individual attention allows the Krannert Admissions Committee to take a holistic approach in the evaluation of each candidate’s application. First and foremost, Krannert seeks to enroll students who are academically prepared for the rigor of a professional master’s degree in business. In addition to solid academics and standardized test scores, work and personal experiences play a key role, especially when relating to classmates. We strive to enroll students who will add to the rich variety and diversity of the Krannert learning environment.
In support of this philosophy, admission decisions are rendered after the Krannert Admissions Office receives complete application materials (including test scores and transcripts, essays and resume, and recommendations). It is the responsibility of the applicant to collect and submit all of the required application materials.
Authenticity
Krannert expects that the work contained in your application, including essays, is completely accurate and exclusively your own. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all the information and accompanying material provided in connection with their application is authentic and accurate. We reserve the right to verify information contained within your application and to rescind any offer of admission should any misrepresentation or omission occur. In some cases, we may require an applicant to provide additional verification of the information and documents submitted as part of the application. If an applicant is unable or unwilling to do so, Krannert reserves the right to cease consideration of the application, to withdraw an offer of admission already made, and/or to terminate a student's enrollment.
INTERVIEWS
Interviews are not required for most applicants. If an interview is required, we will contact you by mail, email and/or telephone. Typically, applicants who have less than two years of full-time, post-baccalaureate work experience may be asked to interview with the Admissions Committee, however the Committee may request an interview of any applicant.
Notification
All admission decisions are communicated in writing via email whenever possible and no admission decisions will be given by telephone.
