Krannert Graduate Awards

Krannert Graduate Awards consist of graduate assistantships and/or scholarships. These Awards are granted on the basis of academic merit and other criteria. Due to the competitiveness and limited number of Awards, applicants who apply on or before the January 2009 application deadline may have more success in receiving an award. All applicants are reviewed and considered – a separate application is not required for the Krannert Graduate Awards.

Krannert Graduate Awards

  • Graduate Assistantships
Krannert Graduate Assistantships involve approximately ten hours of work per week for the University in exchange for a monthly stipend and a partial remission of tuition and fees. Your specific job placement for your graduate assistantship will be made after we have the opportunity assess your interest, skills, and experience.
  • Scholarships
Krannert Scholarships are cash awards to offset tuition and fees. Some scholarships may be renewable.

Additional Funding Opportunities

  • Resident Assistantships
Each year, several of Krannert’s master’s students serve as resident assistants within the Purdue Residence Halls system. All students - first-year, MSIA, international, and continuing students - are eligible to apply for these jobs. RA positions provide for room and board, a small stipend, and a partial remission of tuition and fees.

Description: Counselors supervise 50 - 75 undergraduates, which means they should be good listeners and willing to handle student problems. They do not, however, have to be trained counselors.

Hours: Residence hall counselors are on duty in their halls a minimum of four evenings per week including weekends, plus select vacation periods when duties are required.

For Fall 2009, applications are typically due in January and interviews are conducted later in the spring semester. Visit http://www.housing.purdue.edu/ for more information. Please direct applications and/or requests for further information to:
