E-business Option Area

Area Description

Information and communication technology has penetrated every aspect of society and business from the availability of scanner data to interactive TV, from 3G cell phones to Wifi networks and e-enabled products. Many new opportunities have been and are constantly created through the use of these new technologies. At the same time, companies wonder which technological innovations will help them reduce costs or serve customers better.

The e-business option at Krannert’s Master’s program focuses on an integrated understanding of the impact of e-business in all functional areas. Courses are offered with all area perspectives including marketing, finance, operations, organizational behavior, accounting, economics, strategy, and information systems. In addition, courses in more technical areas from the departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science will also be included as part of this option of study.
