Global Supply Chain Management Initiative (GSCMI) Introduced in 2005, this initiative allows students to complete projects and pursue a new option area in supply chain management. GSCMI students can also study abroad in Asia, South America, and Europe; participate in business foreign language and cross-cultural training seminars; network with international companies that hire students for internships; and earn scholarships. GISMA Business School This program allows you to take an eight-week module in Hannover, Germany, where you'll live and interact with the students at GISMA. Taught by Krannert faculty, all courses are in English. A number of international students enrolled in GISMA's MBA program also come to West Lafayette for an eight-week module, offering additional opportunities for global learning. MBA Enterprise Corps Through this consortium of leading business schools, MBA and MSIA graduates make a one-year committment to serve as consultants to senior managers in Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America, where they assist private enterprises in transforming economies. Participants gain a unique perspective that comes from learning the language, understanding local business operations, and getting to know the people in the host government and community.
Doing Business in and with France This seminar takes a cross-disciplinary approach to understanding the particulars of doing business in and with the European Community. Held in Paris at Groupe ISC, a leading European business school, the two-week seminar occurs immediately after classes end in May, allowing students to return in time to complete a summer internship. Cultural Synergies Between the EU and Latin America Offered during spring break, this course explores the ways cultural similarities have allowed Spain to be the bridge between the European Union (EU) and the countries of South America in developing business relationships. A plant trip to Madrid and case studies of companies that have developed successful business relationships also are included.
