Student Life

When asked to describe the atmosphere at Krannert, students often use words such as "diverse," "welcoming," family-friendly," and "team oriented." These characteristics give the school a unique personality. With fewer than 400 students enrolled at any given time, we're relatively small compared to other top-ranked institutions. People say hello when you walk through the halls. Faculty and staff members know your name and freely share their time. At Krannert, you're part of the family. While coursework demands much of a student's time, Krannert also encourages informal interaction through weekly social hours, club events, evening and weekend outings, and other recreational activities. The opportunities extend to the Purdue campus and surrounding community, which provide a safe, clean environment and a variety of cultural offerings. Those who desire the occasional bustle of a big city don't have far to travel, either. Chicago is a two-hour drive to the north, while Indianapolis is only an hour south. |

The diversity in student backgrounds, both cultural and educational, is equally stimulating. You'll be presented with opinions, approaches, and values that are different from your own. You'll learn to think outside yourself and appreciate the experiences of others. At Krannert, learning isn't just about work - It's also about life. Your accomplishments here will lead to even greater achievements. When you look back, you'll be amazed at what you've done, inspired to do more, and confident that you can. | ||
