Krannert Diversity Weekend

Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management is pleased to announce the 2009 Krannert Diversity Weekend which will take place on October 30-31st, 2009 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The Krannert Diversity Weekend is jointly sponsored by the office of Master’s and Executive Admissions, the office of Diversity Initiatives, the Business Opportunity Program, the Krannert Society of Black Managers, the Krannert Hispanic Graduate Business Student Association, and the Krannert Graduate Business Student Association. While Krannert Diversity Weekend is open to everyone, as part of Krannert’s dedication to attracting, enrolling, and graduating a diverse pool of qualified and talented U.S. Citizens and permanent residents from historically underrepresented groups, African-American, Latino(a)/Chicano/(a), and Native American applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.

Event Overview
Experience what life is like as a Krannert master’s student, walk the halls of the world-class facilities, interact with faculty, alumni, students, staff and administration, and attend a mock class. Our event has been tailored to discuss life at Krannert and subsequent career opportunities, from the unique perspective of our historically underrepresented student and alumni panelists. Take advantage of learning more about the Business Opportunity Program and explore assistantship and scholarship opportunities. Additionally, you will be able to:

  • Enjoy invigorating speakers from Krannert facility and alumni
  • Participate in a mock MBA course
  • Meet future class mates
  • Tour the campus of Purdue University
  • Network with members of the Admissions Committee
  • Have a great time and come away with first-hand knowledge about the Krannert School of Management

Apply Now to Attend
Due to limited space, all prospective participants of the Krannert Diversity Weekend must complete and submit a simple application form and attach a resume for consideration by October 10, 2009. Early submission is strongly encouraged. A committee will review your application and invitations to attend will be extended by October 15th, 2009. Those selected to participate will receive complimentary hotel arrangements and a travel stipend to cover some of the travel expenses.

Selection and participation in Krannert Diversity Weekend will not have an impact on your potential acceptance into the Krannert School of Management. The information submitted for the Krannert Diversity Weekend will not substitutive as an application for admission to the Krannert School of Management.
