Application Instructions
Part-Time Weekend MBA Application Instructions
Specific materials required for application to the Weekend MBA Program (including links as relevant) are the following:
- A completed application (https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=purdue-som).
- Two official transcripts from each institution of higher education attended. We require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and transcripts must indicate grades earned for all courses taken. Photocopies of transcripts are not acceptable unless certified by the issuing institution as true copies of the original documents. For international documents, please supply original language transcripts, as well as certified English translations of those transcripts. Transcripts must indicate the date of graduation and the degree conferred. If not, we require an official or certified diploma in the original language and a certified English translation of that diploma.
- Two letters of recommendation (forms found within our application); one letter should be from the person to whom the applicant reports.
- A GMAT score of 520 or above for those who feel their application needs to be enhanced. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) administers the GMAT test. An official institutional copy of your GMAT score report must be sent from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) to the following school codes: Executive MBA - 1RZ-R6-45
- The GMAT is not a blanket requirement for admission. Substantial work experience and/or prior graduate education may allow the GMAT to be waived. Nonetheless, the test is strongly recommended for program applicants, and a good score on the test will enhance any applicant’s chances for admission. The test may be required of applicants whose other credentials need strengthening. These decisions will be made by the program’s admissions office on a case-by-case basis. In addition, a personal interview may be required of certain applicants, again where there are issues related to the strength of other credentials.
- Applicants who have completed a post-graduate degree from an accredited university generally will be exempt from the GMAT requirements. Exemption decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
