Finance

You may pursue a major or a concentration in Finance when you enroll in the Krannert School of Management.

Finance will teach you how financial markets work on a global scale, how corporate financial executives make decisions to create value and how entrepreneurs partner with investors to find new solutions to our toughest problems. 

The world of finance is global and local.  It is regulated but constantly evolving to allow new securities and innovations.  It encompasses huge international banks, boutique investment firms and individual money managers. 

Students in finance have a passion for analysis and critical thinking. They are excellent communicators with impeccable ethical standards.

Courses in finance incorporate the principles of financial reporting, quantitative analysis, economics, psychology and history.  Graduates in finance find careers in corporations, government, not-for-profit agencies, consulting firms and financial institutions of all shapes and sizes.
