Registration Information

If you are already future registered, you can meet with your advisor and change your classes anytime during the semester, you do not have to wait for registration to begin.  If you are not future registered, you need to schedule an appointment to register.  Stop by the Advising Office, Kran B-20, to schedule an appointment with your advisor.  Please review and complete the pre-registration checklist before your appointment.  Contact the advising office if you are unable to make your appointment.  This page also has important course information and general information that could affect your registration.

Registration Information and Appointments:

General Information:

  • PIN numbers
Students must see their advisor each semester to get their PIN number. This will be done at their registration appointment.
Students studying abroad or on internship can email their advisor to get their PIN number.
Seniors registering for their last semester may sign a waver at the advising front desk to be able to get their PIN number without seeing their advisor.

  • Schedule of Classes
    Check myPurdue for course offerings.

  • Hold/Encumbered
You will not be able to register for classes if you have a hold/encumbrance on your account. Even if the amount shown in $0, there is still a hold that needs to be taken care of. Contact your advisor if you are not sure who you need to contact to remove the hold/encumbrance.

  • Immunizations
Your academic record will be encumbered if your immunization records are not up to date. While encumbered, you will not be allowed to sign up for classes.  Your registration will be cancelled one week prior to the beginning of classes (at first cancel) if you fail to correct the deficiency which led to the encumbrance.  At this point you will not be allowed to re-register until immunization requirements are met in full and the encumbrance is cleared.

  • Internships
Internships are no credit for the School of Management but if the company requires you to have a credit, there are classes you can take.
Planning to intern during the semester? (MGMT 290A) (MGMT 390A, 390C, 390D, or 390E

  • Credit Hour Limits
According to University Regulations, a student may not register for more than 18 credit hours unless approved by the Director of Undergraduate Programs, Sara Stein Koch.  Exceptions will not be granted unless you are graduating at the end of the next semester and all of the credits are required to complete your degree.
