Meet the faculty
clinical assistant professor of Management, Managerial Communications
What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?
Krannert is an excellent place for students to spread their wings. A nurturing faculty assures that they won't fall. And Purdue is, simply, top-notch.
Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?
A student should choose Krannert if he or she wants to be challenged.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I love when I know that I've truly communicated with a group of students on a business issue that we're talking about. People talk every day; yet, we sometimes don't understand the message. When I see the light come on in my students' eyes, I'm reminded that I'm in the right profession.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I'm definitely a hands-on type of person. And students will tell you that they can talk to me about almost anything. I listen to them.
How would you describe your fellow faculty members at Krannert?
Exceptional ... and I'm not just saying that. If I have a question that involves their area of expertise, I have no doubt that I can go and get an answer from one of my colleagues.
What are your current research interests?
I'm interested in gender studies, corporate storytelling, leadership development and intercultural communication.
What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy reading and listening to blues and jazz. Historic preservation is a long-time interest.
