Change of Degree Objective (CODO) and Request to Pursue Multiple Degrees

Change of Degree Objective (CODO) allows a current Purdue student to transfer from one school or college to another within Purdue. A Request to Pursue Multiple Degrees is to enroll in multiple degrees in two Purdue schools/colleges concurrently. 

CODO  applications and Requests to Pursue Multiple Degrees submitted to the School of Management will be processed at the end of the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

For students interested in Changing the Degree Objective or Requesting Multiple Degrees in time for Summer Semester 2015, CODO applications and Request for Multiple Degrees forms will be accepted beginning Friday, May 1 until 5:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015.

For students interested in Changing the Degree Objective or Requesting Multiple Degrees in time for Fall Semester 2015, CODO applications and Request for Multiple Degrees form can be turned in during the dates above or beginning Monday, August 3 until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Applications will only be received during these times. Late applications will not be accepted.

Steps to CODO

In order to CODO to the School of Management, students are required to follow these steps:

Step 1: Carefully read and follow the Change of Curricula process located on the Purdue University Registrar’s website.

Step 2: Review School of Management CODO requirements and application deadline dates as noted above and below.

Step 3: Watch the Krannert CODO video located on this page.

Step 4: After viewing the CODO video, complete the survey at this link.

Step 5: Visit myPurduePlan.purdue.edu and use the "What If" feature to learn what classes you need to take for completing a degree.  If you are not familiar with myPurduePlan or the “What If” feature, click here to watch a short video.

Step 6: Submit application materials to the Management Advising Office (Kran 352) in the Krannert Building:

  • Change of Curriculum Form- 2 copies
  • Printed survey confirmation email

 

Steps to Request to Pursue Multiple Degrees

In order to add a School of Management major, students are required to follow these steps:

Step 1: Review School of Management CODO/Request to Pursue Multiple Degrees  requirements and application deadline dates as noted above and below.

Step 2: Watch the Krannert CODO video located on this page.

Step 3: Complete the Request to Pursue Multiple Degree Programs Concurrently Form, print 4 copies, and discuss your request with the school/college in which you are currently enrolled.  If approval is granted, have the dean or school/college head affix his/her signature on the copies.  They will keep 1 copy. 

Step 4: Visit myPurduePlan.purdue.edu and use the "What If" feature to learn what classes you need to take for completing a degree.  If you are not familiar with myPurduePlan or the “What If” feature, click here to watch a short video.

Step 5: Submit application materials to the Management Advising Office (Kran 352) in the Krannert Building.  

CODO Application and Request to Pursue Multiple Degrees Deadlines

Summer 2015:

Friday, May 22 > Application materials due to Kran 352

Late applications will not be accepted.

Fall 2015:

Tuesday, September 1 > Application materials due to Kran 352

 

*Note about above deadlines:  Applications will be reviewed after final grades are posted. The Management advising office will contact students via their Purdue email account upon making a decision. 

 

School of Management CODO and Dual Degree Academic Requirements.


All School of Management students are required to complete the Management Admission Index courses (MAI) or Economics Admission Index (EAI) before admission to upper division in the Krannert School of Management.

Lower Division CODO Requirements

Students currently completing the MAI or EAI requirements may CODO into the lower division Pre-Management, Pre-Accounting, Pre-Industrial Management, Pre-Economics, Pre-Marketing, Pre-Finance,  Pre-Supply Chain Information and Analytics, or Pre- Strategy and Organizational Management.

Students who meet the requirements for lower division are guaranteed acceptance into the School of Management, however, it does not guarantee space in needed courses.

Students wishing to CODO in cannot be on academic probation.

Pre-Management, Pre-Accounting, Pre-Marketing, Pre-Finance, or Pre-Supply Chain Information and Analytics 

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 2.50 Overall Minimum GPA
  • MA 16010, Applied Calculus, or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
  • Minimum C- in any completed MAI courses

 Pre-Economics

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 2.50 Overall Minimum GPA
  • MA 16010, Applied Calculus, or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
  • Minimum C- in any completed EAI courses

Pre-Industrial Management

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 2.40 Overall Minimum GPA
  • MA 16100/16500 or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
  • Minimum C- in any completed MAI courses

Upper Division CODO Requirements

Students who have completed all MAI or EAI classes may CODO into Management, Accounting, Industrial Management, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Information and Analytics, or Strategy and Organizational Managment (Upper Division). 

Students who meet the requirements for upper division are guaranteed acceptance into the School of Management, however, it does not guarantee space in needed courses.

Students wishing to CODO in cannot be on academic probation.

Management, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or Supply Chain Information and Analytics

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 3.00 MAI minimum GPA /2.50 Overall minimum GPA
  • ALL MAI courses completed prior to CODO
  • Minimum of C- in ALL MAI and School of Management courses

Economics

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 2.75 EAI minimum GPA /2.40 overall minimum GPA
  • ALL EAI courses completed prior to CODO
  • Minimum of C- in ALL EAI and ECON courses

Industrial Management

  • 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
  • 2.65 MAI minimum GPA /2.40 overall minimum GPA 
  • ALL MAI courses completed prior to CODO
  • Minimum of C- in ALL MAI and School of Management courses
  • Minimum of a C- in Chemistry/Physics Requirements
