Big News at the PMU
The Union Market Renovation Project was approved by the Board of Trustees on December 16. The Union Market and Freshens are now closed and will undergo a major transformation, resulting in five new restaurant concepts opening next fall--La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill, Lemongrass (Asian/Thai), Flatbreads (gourmet sandwiches and salads), Zia Juice (fresh juice and smoothies), and the Urban Market (an upscale convenience store featuring organic foods and a cereal bar). During renovations, PMU will continue to serve you at Villa Pizza, Pappy’s (including breakfast service), Starbucks, the Oasis and the Sagamore Restaurant, plus a new grab and go operation (Quick Cuisine) is now open across from the Oasis. Villa Pizza will remain open through Spring Break, at which time it will also undergo renovation to include a new line of pizza offerings, a new “Pick & Mix” salad component, and a new name--Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen.
