Even though my family has a long Purdue legacy, I toured other universities while in high school, but none could compare. I wanted to find a school where I could stand out and professors would take the time to know my name, but I still wanted the wide range of opportunities that came with a larger university. As a junior, Purdue has given me all of this and more.
The quality of education that I am able to obtain by attending Purdue is excellent. I have been taught by many top professors and they have always been willing to provide additional help. Also, I am actively involved in the University Honors Program, which has allowed me to take specific honors classes that require deeper analytical thinking. Due to the great education that can be obtained at Krannert, many companies look to Purdue when trying to find interns and full-time employees. Purdue does a wonderful job of helping students find jobs and Krannert even has its own career center.
One of my favorite parts about Purdue is that it offers so many student clubs and organizations. I have participated in various programs that range from Emerging Leaders to intramural sports. I’ve also been able to show my love for Krannert by serving as a Management Ambassador to help prospective students learn more about this school.
Although my time at Purdue will be over in a year, my education and memories will remain with me forever, and I am extremely glad that I have chosen to be a Boilermaker.
