Location: Siena, Italy

Program Dates: June 20, 2016 - July 15, 2016

Host: University of Siena and Krannert School of Management.

Eligibility: The program is open to Purdue undergraduate students with a 2.5 GPA.

Course Credits: Students will earn 6 credits which can be applied toward graduation requirements.

Cost: $4500.  Cost will include tuition/fees, housing, and welcome dinner in Siena.

Housing: Students will stay in the student dormitories at the University of Siena.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Students may apply for up to a $1000 scholarship to use toward program expenses.  For more information click here!

Academic Program: Classes will be taught by Cara Putman from the Krannert School of Management  and Faculty from the University of Siena. Students will earn a total of 6 credit hours for the program.  Course rosters will include Purdue and University of Siena students to create a rich, multi-cultural learning environment.  

Students will take these two classes:

  • MGMT 35400/45500: Legal Foundations of Business (3 credits) - This course taught by Krannert Professor, Cara Putman, examines the nature and place of law in our society, both national and international, the social and moral bases of law enactment, regulation of business, legal liability, enforcement procedures, and the legal environment for managers. This course may be used in any Krannert major requiring MGMT 35400, the MGMT concentration for Economics students, or the Krannert minor

  • MGMT 49000: Special Topics in International Business (3credits) - This course looks at current issues in International Business and will be taught by University of Siena Faculty.  This course may be used as a professional, international, or general elective in any Krannert Plan of Study and toward an International Business Concentration.
