The Undergraduate Management Advisors are here to help you find the right program to match your academic and personal interests. Follow the steps below to ensure the best possible match for your personal and curricular needs.

    1. Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor Study Abroad programs can help you meet major or minor requirements, fulfill liberal arts requirements, or achieve proficiency in a second language. With careful planning you can study abroad and graduate on time. Decide the term you’d like to study abroad and the type of coursework you want to take.

    2. Attend Study Abroad 101 Interested in learning more about study abroad? Come to a general information session about living and learning outside of the United States! Study Abroad Advisors will present the program opportunities and answer questions about locations, academics, application procedures and costs.
      • When? Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.
      • Where? Study Abroad Office, 105 Young Hall

    3. Investigate Programs
      • Check out the Krannert Preferred ProgramsResearch programs based on type of coursework offered, expertise of the institution, and a destination that interests you. Imagine, dream and enjoy the many possibilities before you.
      • Check out the Campus-wide programs offered by the Study Abroad Office - The Study Abroad Office offers several types of programs in order to accommodate Purdue students. Over 200 programs are offered, they range in length from one week to one year, and they are located in more than 45 countries.

    4. Meet with a Study Abroad Advisor The Study Abroad Office has a number of excellent advisors who know program details and can suggest programs that fit your plan of study. You can make an appointment with one of the advisors by calling the Study Abroad Office at 494-2383

    5. Apply Early Allow yourself plenty of time to complete a program application, finish your academic planning, fulfill financial aid and scholarships requirements, and get ready to study abroad. Application deadlines are typically: Feb 1, for summer internship programs, March 1 for summer and fall programs and September 15 for spring programs. For additional application information, please refer to the study abroad web flyer concerning your specific program.
