Purdue’s Next Big Move

“Students in Purdue’s new School of Business will receive a well-rounded education, including the history, philosophy, and economic theory of free market systems, and a firm grounding in the liberal arts and the communication skills that come with it. They will enter the world proud of the careers they have chosen and thoroughly prepared for leadership and managerial excellence in the most technologically complex fields.”
—President Emeritus Mitch Daniels, Jr.

This is our moment,
our next giant leap.

Purdue University's new Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business will create the next generation of students ready to lead, or found, great companies and transform society.

The Daniels School of Business will build upon Purdue’s mission as a land-grant university to make education more affordable and accessible. It is comprised of the Bruce White Undergraduate Institute and the Krannert Graduate Institute.

The Bruce White Undergraduate Institute is the result of a $50 million gift from the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation to honor Bruce White, former Purdue Trustee and founder and chairman of White Lodging. It will provide students greatly enhanced experiential learning opportunities, revised curricula to stay at the cutting edge of business education, and an enhanced understanding of the role of business in society.

The Krannert Graduate Institute honors original school benefactors Herman and Ellnora Krannert. It allows students to learn in residential, online or hybrid settings to further their careers in a vibrant ecosystem, giving them analytical and problem-solving skills to move industry forward and change the world.

We will prioritize four foundational pillars:

Technology needs business to change the world. Our students will harness communication skills, hands-on learning, and technological excellence to turn new discoveries into societal change.

STEM: SOLVES
TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
+
BUSINESS: INTEGRATES,
ORGANIZES AND SCALES
=
SOCIETY:
POSITIVELY CHANGED

GROUNDED IN
TRADITION,
WE WILL CREATE
NEW INDUSTRIES
