Vice President, International Therapeutic Area Leader, Eli Lilly and Company

Prentice Stovall, Jr. serves as a Vice President of International Therapeutic Area Strategy at Eli Lilly and Company, where he has served since May 2023. In this role, Prentice leads the overall strategy and commercialization efforts for one of the priority therapeutic areas in the International Business Unit at Lilly. Before this position, Prentice served as a Vice President of Global Brand Development for a molecule in the field of immunology. In this role at Lilly, Prentice led the molecule strategy, which included team formation, lifecycle planning, key regulatory interactions, regulatory approval oversight and scientific narrative development for internal and external parties.

Prentice has held a wide range of roles during his nearly 15 years at Lilly, including marketing, market research, forecasting, sales, drug development and commercial leadership. He has spent time living outside of the U.S., leading the oncology business in Canada, and serving on Lilly Canada's leadership team.

Previously, he served as the chair of Black Employees at Lilly, one of the largest employee resource groups at Lilly. He played a leadership role in accelerating the diversity and inclusion efforts for the company and in the community. His time as the chair was defined by his ability to reimagine the employee resource group, set a clear strategy, and activate the membership. Prentice is also involved in several of employee resource groups at Lilly.

Prentice received his bachelor’s in management from Purdue University in 2003 and his MBA from Purdue’s School of Business in 2009.
