Mark is the manager of Consumer Technology and Design for Six Sigma Leader for GE Appliances, with responsibility for ensuring that all of the business’ new products are defined, developed and implemented to provide the highest performance and reliability.  He assumed the current role in October, 2000.  Mark came to GE Appliances in July, 1999 in the DFSS Leader role.

Mark has been with GE for 19 years; 10 at GE Superabrasives and 7 at Corporate Research and Development before moving to Appliances.  He was trained as a Master Black Belt in 1996 and was responsible for GE’s implementation of DFSS from 1997 to 1999, working with all of the GE manufacturing businesses.

He holds a Bachelor degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences and a Ph.D. in Geochemistry; both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
