Jane Brock-Wilson is a Managing Director of Boston-based Berkshire Partners. Berkshire is a private equity investment firm focusing on the acquisition and management of growth companies. Berkshire is capitalized with over $6.5 billion of equity in seven investment funds. Berkshire’s investors are well-known institutions -- endowments, foundations, public and private pension funds, insurance companies and financial institutions. Berkshire has invested in over 70 companies. Ms. Brock-Wilson has been a director of several of Berkshire’s manufacturing and service companies.
Before joining Berkshire, Ms. Brock-Wilson was a Partner at Bain & Company. Bain is one of the world’s leading management consulting firms specializing in the development and implementation of corporate strategy. Ms. Brock-Wilson was with Bain from 1982-1991.
Ms. Brock-Wilson graduated with high distinction from Purdue University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. After graduation she worked as a production and material control supervisor with Raytheon Data Systems. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1983, with an emphasis in operations and competitive strategy.
Ms. Brock-Wilson grew up in Lafayette, Indiana. She currently lives with her three children in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She is involved with the Krannert Dean’s Advisory Council as well as several charitable organizations including the United Way, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Winsor School.
