EconEdLink is a premier source of classroom-tested, Internet-based economic and personal finance lesson materials for K-12 teachers and their students. The site has over 435 lessons for teachers to choose from, with the lessons searchable by grade, academic standard, and topic. The site is very up to date, with new lessons appearing regularly which relate to current events. There is no fee for using this very robust and useful web site.
EconEdLink is managed by the highly regarded Council for Economic Education, a leading organization in the United States that focuses on K-12 economic and financial education. CEE oversees a nationwide network of state councils and university centers which promote many CEE programs, including EconEdLink. The Purdue Center is part of this network.
PCEE associate director Phil VanFossen has been involved with EconEdLink since 1999. As chair of the editorial review board, VanFossen recruits editorial board members, suggests lessons to authors, and has ultimate approval of all lessons that are posted on the site.
