OUR FACILITY

The Vernon Smith Experimental Economics Laboratory (VSEEL) comprises 2,549 square feet, including a 1,306 square-foot lab for data collection, an arrival lounge, offices, an observation room, and a conference/meeting room.

The data collection lab in KRAN 701 has 40 Dell computers running Windows 11. Each computer has an Intel Core i5-13500 processor running at 2.50 GHz, 16 GB RAM, and a 24-inch widescreen display. The flat panel displays provide subjects with extensive writing space in their lab "carrel," and the screen privacy filters make it difficult for subjects to view others' displays around the visual partitions.

Directions for experiment participants: Take the elevator to the 7th floor of the Krannert Building. The VSEEL lab is down the wide hallway on the opposite side of the elevators. As you exit the elevator, take an immediate left and then a right and walk halfway down the hall. The lab entrance is through room 725 on your left.
