This fall, Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management became a sponsor school for the Forté Foundation Rising Star Initiative for undergraduate women. Through online programs and bi-annual conferences, the goal of the Rising Star Initiative is to “launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, career opportunities, and a community of successful women.”
The Brock-Wilson Center for Women in Management and the Krannert Professional Development Center joined with Forté to launch this new partnership. With 60 young women in attendance, Forté Rep, Nicole Chambati, stated Purdue has had the most successful Rising Star launch to date. The event was comprised of an overview of the Rising Star program, a brief keynote presented by Amber Perkins and three network building activities.
