Operations Management

As a lecturer at Purdue's College of Technology, Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business, and Purdue's Krannert School of Management, Dr. Kalish has taught an array of courses including Consulting Tools & Skills, Process Analytics, Leadership Through Mentoring, Industrial Ergonomics, Statisitcal Quality, Business Ethics, Leadership Strategies, Project Management, Operations Management, Critical Thinking, and Small Group Communication. Additional areas of interest include Setting Boundaries, Circadian Rhythums, Sustainability, Theoretical Reductionism, and Systems Thinking.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Kalish has worked in industry, owned a small business, served in the U.S. Army, and provided State Authorization guidance as the Interim Associate Dean for Purdue's Online and Professional Learning. 

Her honors and awards include: The Undergraduate Innovation in Teaching Award, Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher, and Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher - Honorable mention, and The Best Professor on Campus in the student newspaper's Reader's Choice Awards.

Dr Kalish is a certified Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt. 

Beginning in the Fall 2016 Dr. Kalish accepted the role of Faculty Coordinator and Lead Instructor for Larsen Leaders Academy. Her responsibilities include teaching the Introduction to Management course to all incoming freshmen and developing new experiential courses focusing on the needs of honors students.
