The Next Generation of Analytics and Machine Learning

2020 Research Conference

June 4 and 5, 2020

WHAT:  The Biennial Research Conference on Data Science for Business and Economics is hosted this year by the John and Donna Krenicki Center for Business Analytics and Machine Learning at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management.  This year’s conference will focus on the future of analytics and machine learning and will feature interdisciplinary speakers from both industry and academia.  We encourage talks that push the frontier of our understanding and help the complexity that many industry leaders and researchers are facing.  The program will include several paper sessions, a poster session, and a round table lunch session bringing Industry and Academic Leaders together to discuss the emerging issues in analytics and machine learning.  

WHEN:  The conference will begin the afternoon of Thursday, June 4 and conclude the afternoon of Friday, June 5, 2020, on Purdue University’s campus in West Lafayette, Indiana.  Social activities will include a business professional dinner for all registered attendees and distinguished guests in the evening of June 4.  Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on June 5. 

WHO:  A limited number of talks/papers and posters will be accepted for the conference.  To propose a talk or poster, the author(s) should submit a one-page abstract by March 20, 2020.  The authors of accepted talks and posters will be notified by April 20.  The talks will be restricted to 20 minutes, with five additional minutes for Q&A.  The poster presenter(s) will have 2 minutes to introduce their work to the audience.  Details for submission may be found at   https://easychair.org/cfp/2020PurdueResearchConference 

REGISTRATION:  One must register to attend the conference. The (non-refundable) registration fee is $150 per person, with a reduced fee of $75 per person for students.  The registration deadline is May 22, 2020, but the authors of accepted papers/posters must register by May 8 (at least one author of every accepted submission must register for the submission to be included on the program.)  The conference has limited capacity, and registration will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis until the capacity is reached. Registration is now open:
