Christian GarciaSenior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Christian Garcia is Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Halliburton. In this role, Mr. Garcia is responsible for the Company’s global accounting activities including financial and management reporting; operations finance; planning and analysis; and accounting services. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Garcia served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer from 2011 to 2013.
In addition to these roles, Mr. Garcia has held several senior-level positions including Senior Vice President of Investor Relations; Vice President of Operations Finance; Senior Director of Corporate Planning; and Vice President of Finance and Administration for Landmark Graphics.
In 2011, Christian was awarded “IR Professional of the Year” by Institutional Investor magazine. This award is given to the top investor relations professional in the United States based on the magazine’s survey of more than 1,300 security analysts and investment professionals representing more than 550 securities firms and financial institutions.
Prior to joining Halliburton, Mr. Garcia worked in Chicago for Proquest Company (formerly Bell and Howell) in various controllership and planning functions; his last position there was as the controller of the company’s Document Management Products Division.
He is a graduate of Halliburton’s President’s Leadership Excellence Program, Halliburton’s yearlong leadership development event in which a select group of high-potential senior managers, directors and first-time executives participates each year. Mr. Garcia has a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Philippines and a Master of Science in Management degree from Purdue University.
