Associate Professor of Economics Kozuch Director, Research Center in Economics (PURCE) Department of Economics | Krannert Building | Office 311 403 W State Street | West Lafayette, IN 47907-2056 (765) 496-6773 | mumford@purdue.edu Professor Mumford produces empirical estimates of the effects of government policy in a variety of policy areas including: education, labor markets, taxation, and personal finance. In addition he studies the effect of employment practices on worker outcomes, education practices on student outcomes, and methods for incorporating the value of human capital into measurements of national wealth. His research is published in some of the top economic outlets including the American Economic Review, Management Science, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and the Journal of Econometrics. Professor Mumford joined the Department of Economics at Purdue University in 2007 and was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in 2014. He serves as the Kozuch Director of the Purdue University Research Center in Economics and previously served as Director of Undergraduate Programs in Economics. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from Stanford University and a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University. |
