Krannert campaign provides path to excellence

From its birth in the 1950s to today, Purdue’s Krannert School’s focus is on educating global business leaders able to tackle the world’s toughest challenges. Two of our graduates are CEOs at Fortune 100 companies. Two others have been regulars on the Forbes list of the world’s 100 most powerful women. Krannert faculty produce groundbreaking, foundational research in business and economics. Our students excel in and out of the classroom, winning national case competitions and lending their expertise and enthusiasm to projects that enhance our community. Employers love them — they come prepared to work and make an immediate contribution.

Through Ever True: The Campaign for Purdue University, we will give our students, faculty, and staff the resources they need to enhance our status as a world-class business school.

We will provide scholarship opportunities for students to follow in the footsteps of outstanding role models. Roland Parrish (BSIM ’75, MSM ’76), one of the first students recruited into Krannert’s Business Opportunity Program, parlayed his business skills into a multimillion-dollar business and provided the lead gift for the Krannert library renovation. Jane Brock-Wilson (BSIM ’78) participated in several leadership opportunities as a Krannert student, preparing her for a stellar career managing a multibillion-dollar portfolio in a private equity firm.

We’ll give our faculty the support they need to advance knowledge in a variety of fields. Through research groups, such as one we’ve just launched in health-care management and economics, we will collaborate with our colleagues across campus, generating exciting opportunities for research, student development, and grant support.

We’re at the forefront of an exciting and historic period at Purdue and the Krannert School. It’s time to seize the moment and build a stronger community, allowing us to recruit and retain outstanding faculty and staff while attracting the brightest young business minds.

With the help of Krannert alumni, friends, and corporate and foundation supporters, we will produce the next generation of business leaders. We will support our faculty with the resources they need to be pioneers in their fields.

Now is the time. Together we can take the Krannert School to new heights.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

AFFORDABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY FOR STUDENTS

Your Purdue education placed you on the track for success. Now you have the opportunity to give back through scholarship support for students like Anne Marie.

“Receiving my university-wide and management-specific scholarships with my acceptance was the blessing we needed. I have continued to be blessed with manage- ment scholarships and grants for continuing students. Four years in, it still completely astonishes me that someone is gracious and selfless enough to pay for me to pursue higher education. It has had an immense financial impact on me and my family.”
— Anne Marie Sullivan (BSM ’15)

ATTRACTING AND RETAINING FACULTY AND STAFF

Gifts to support faculty can underwrite world-changing research, assist our top faculty in development of new courses, bring prominent guest lecturers to campus, and keep our top teachers and researchers in our School.

“We prepare students in the classroom. But it’s also imperative that we conduct groundbreaking research that our students can apply once they graduate.”
— Ellen Kossek, Basil S. Turner Professor of Management and Director of the Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence

SUPPORTING RESEARCH CENTERS AND INITIATIVES

The management fields of strategy, entrepreneurship, and data analytics in marketing were pioneered at Purdue. The Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises, Global Supply Chain Management Initiative, and Purdue University Research Center in Economics are examples of world-changing research centers residing in Krannert. Additional initiatives in the planning phase include areas of study in finance, women in management, and data analytics for businesses. Support for research provides opportunities for students, faculty, and our corporate partners.

RENOVATION AND REPAIR FOR SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT FACILITIES

The Krannert Building, Krannert Center and Rawls Hall are the backbone of our School. It is critical to provide a first-class learning environment that houses growing co-curricular programs in experiential learning and leadership while accommodating our world-class faculty and staff.
