ACCOUNTING

Rahul MenonRahul Menon

Rahul Menon joined the accounting area as an assistant professor this fall. He comes to us from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he obtained his PhD in accounting. Rahul earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Kolkata, India, and his BS in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India. Prior to starting his PhD, he worked for two years  as an equity analyst at a brokerage firm in Mumbai, India. His research interests lie in developing theoretical models in the fields of financial reporting, voluntary disclosures and auditing.


FINANCE 

Lulu ZengLulu Zeng

Lulu Zeng joined the finance area as a continuous-term lecturer in August. He earned his PhD in finance from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. He also has an MSIA in finance from Carnegie Mellon, an MA in economics from Ohio State and an MS in economics from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He comes to us from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia, where he has taught courses in finance at the undergraduate and graduate level since 2012. He has published papers in the Journal of Finance and Management Science. His interests are in asset pricing and portfolio choice.


MARKETING

Wreeto KarWreeto Kar

Wreeto Kar joins the marketing area as an assistant professor after working at Adobe Research and Adobe Systems where he was an econometric data scientist. He earned his PhD in marketing in 2014 from the William E. Simon School of Business, University of Rochester. Wreeto brings with him teaching and industry work experience. His research interests involve digital advertising, big data, product trial in software industry, visitor identification in online media and scalable online algorithms. He has several teaching awards in addition to consulting experience.



Jinsuh LeeJinsuh Lee

Jinsuh Lee joined the marketing area as a clinical assistant professor this spring. He  has his master’s and PhD in management (specializing in quantitative methods) and a BS degree from Purdue. He has taught various marketing classes at Krannert and has worked as a marketing analyst for several companies including Korea Telecom, Samsung Electronics and Dunnhumby. With extensive skills and work experience as a marketing researcher and analyst, Jinsuh wants to share his experience at his alma mater.

Teaching Philosophy: “I consider teaching as an essential part of my career and enjoy the experience of being in a classroom. Teaching is not a one-way traffic. The constant interaction among the students and me inspires great ideas to apply in marketing. Technology has evolved to allow more interaction in the classrooms. While working at Samsung, I have able to teach classes to new employees and used an interaction application from mobile devices. I plan to use the same experience here at Purdue.”

Federico RossFederico Rossi

Federico Rossi comes to the Krannert marketing area as an assistant professor from the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He earned his PhD in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2008. He has high teaching scores in both graduate and undergraduate courses. His research interests are in retail strategies, pricing, new product introduction and industrial organization.

Ting ZhuTing Zhu

Ting Zhu earned her PhD in marketing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006. She joins the Krannert marketing area as an associate professor from the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business. Her teaching experience and interests in new product management, marketing research, marketing management and pricing complement courses already established in the marketing area while also bringing in new courses. She also is published with research interests in entry models, retail competition, pricing, game theory and Empirical IO. Ting has received numerous awards and grants.
