1960s

JOHN WILSON (MS ’62), a member of the physics faculty at Sam Houston State University, recently authored a book, A Physicist Examines Hope in the Resurrection. In addition to teaching and writing, Wilson is a retired deacon of the United Methodist Church.

RICHARD DUFFY (BS ’67), Louisville, KY, was appointed chairman of the Renkim Corp. board of directors.

GARY CROWDEN (BS ’69), Southport, NC, was named Adjutant of the Year by the American Legion Department of North Carolina, of which he has been a member for over 14 years. More than 300 posts throughout the state nominate a candidate for the award.

1970s

GARRY KIRKBRIDE (BS ’71), Arlington, VA, was appointed chair of the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust Board, which advocates for public land and appropriate land use. Kirkbride is an urban planner with Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm.

BERNIE FAULKNER (BS ’73) was appointed president and CEO of the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group, including wet and dry engineered filtration companies Micronics Inc., Southern Filter Media LLC, CP Environmental LLC, United Process Control Inc. and the AeroPulse brand of APC equipment. He formerly served as president of Pall Filter Specialists Inc.

1980s

TOM STANLEY (MS ’80, PHD ’82), Conway, AR, retired in May as the Julia Mobley Odyssey Professor of Economics and Business at Hendrix College.

JOE MEYER (BS ’81) was named president of Field & Main Bank in Henderson, KY. He previously was a partner at BKD, where he developed and implemented coordinated sales initiatives and was instrumental in BKD's growth in the Evansville and Nashville markets.

MICHAEL A. WORONOFF (BS ’82, MS ’82) was named an independent board director at Alexandria Real Estate Equities. Woronoff is a partner of Proskauer Rose LLP, head of Proskauer's Los Angeles office and its West Coast corporate and securities practice and a member of the firm's Executive Committee.

PEG (POWELL) BERENS (BS ’87), Laguna Hills, CA, received two awards from the Houzz website community for excellence in service and design. She is the owner of Peg Berens Interior Design LLC.

CHRISTIAN A. GARCIA (MS ’87) was appointed an independent member of the board of directors of Keane Group Inc. Garcia has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Visteon Corp. since October 2016.

1990s

JILL DAUGHERTY (BS ’91) was promoted to chief audit officer at Caterpillar. She joined Caterpillar as an intern in 1990 and has since held a series of positions with increasing responsibility in accounting and business support, including senior roles in Asia, Europe and the United States. She most recently served as Caterpillar’s corporate controller.

JENNIFER FOODY (BS ’91, MS ’95), Wexford, PA, president/owner of Bottom Line Financial Services, was recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field by Women of Distinction magazine.

ROBERT POSTHAUER (BS ’91) was promoted to vice president of sales of the combined Haier Co. and GE Appliances team, which has more than 500 employees and revenues of approximately $7 billion. Posthauer was involved with both the transition and the successful sale of GE Appliances to Haier in 2016. He began his career at GE Appliances in 2013 as general manager of sales.

DERK PRONGER (BS ’91), Traverse City, MI, was named to the American College of Healthcare Executives Council of Regents, the legislative body of the organization. He serves as the chief operating officer at Munson Medical Center.

TALYA BAUER (PHD ’94), who holds a dual appointment as a professor of business and psychology at Portland State University, was elected president of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology and serves on the editorial boards of SIOP’s Industrial-Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice and Personnel Psychology. She also is the former editor of the Journal of Management.
