Viraaj graduated from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies University in 2014 with a dual degree, a bachelor of technology in electronics and telecommunications an an MBA. During the five-year duration of his coursework, he undertook multiple internships across industries and vocations. His first taste of the corporate world occurred at Dimension Data, an 8bn organization owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Group.
Though Viraaj’s role was techno-commercial in nature, with the prime focus being on new business development, he had his first taste of analytics while working there. His experience at Dimension Data, particularly through the company’s technological support of the Tour de France, magnified his interest in amalgamation of sports and technology. He was fascinated by the coverage of the event as well as the use of sensors to collect and interpret data on the participants.
