Hongxia received her bachelor's degree of management in accounting from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics in 2013, with the excellent thesis award and top-class scholarships every year of enrollment. Upon graduation, she joined Grant Thornton International as a financial auditor, where she was named the Best New Hire of that cohort. Afterwards, she moved to the United States and studied towards the Associate of Applied Science degree in Database Management and Administration at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, Indiana. Hongxia was on the Dean’s list for 4 semesters.
While working at Grant Thornton as a financial auditor, Hongxia obtained experience in financial data analysis. During her auditing operations, she gathered first-hand data about corporate fixed assets and leases and investigated unusual revenue-cost fluctuation to spot suspicious entries in the annual report. This led to her interest in business analysis and decided to join the BAIM program to sharpen her analytical competences.
Hongxia desires to build a professional career in the field of business analytics. She aims to employ her diverse expertise in business, data analysis and database management to deliver data-driven business solutions to any enterprise who embarks this astonishing era of data.
