Purdue Online MBA launches…would you like to be in the next class?

The Krannert School welcomed the inaugural class of students to the Purdue Online MBA program in January. With 24 enrollees from 10 different states and industries, this program brings the same diverse approach to learning as other Krannert offerings, with even more flexibility.

The Purdue Online MBA focuses on technology and innovation and is taught by the same faculty who appear in the classrooms of Krannert’s highly ranked residential programs. It’s ideal for students with a STEM background and those seeking career-changing opportunities.

Students will be able to customize their MBA experience with a specialization. After gaining a foundation they can choose a specialization for even deeper knowledge in Business Analytics; Innovation and Technology Commercialization; or Leadership, Negotiation and Change Management. The specialization will culminate with an opportunity to apply the newly acquired skills in an experiential learning project. Students in the program have access to the Purdue Foundry, which helps entrepreneurs move ideas to the marketplace more quickly, as well as Purdue’s Discovery Park, where researchers from across campus collaborate to create solutions for a better world.

Classes are taught in seven-week segments and the program offers rolling admissions, meaning students can join at different times during each school year. The program focusses on team-based course designs, experiential learning and superior student services, all in a flexible fully online format necessary for working professionals.

“We believe the Purdue Online MBA is a perfect fit with the strengths of Purdue University,” says David Hummels, the Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Krannert School. “The program has a focus on technology and innovation that will be ideal for students with a STEM background or any student seeking career-changing opportunities with high-tech companies.”

Hummels adds that Krannert programs are known for their return on investment. The school’s full-time program has been ranked No. 3 nationally by Bloomberg Businessweek for highest ROI.
