Krannert Private Equity Conference

The first Purdue Private Equity Conference was held April 11, 2014. Organized by finance students in the Krannert School of Management, the conference brought together students and alumni to learn from current leaders in the field of private equity.

We were pleased to welcome back Purdue alumni Scot Swenberg, Managing Director at CID Capital; Steve Cosler, Operating Partner at Water Street Partners; and David Fox, Vice President at Blackstone, as our keynote speakers. The conference was attended by 40 undergraduate and graduate students as well as 20 faculty, alumni and guests.

Attendees were able to interact in groups and one-on-one with the speakers to learn more about private equity and specific situations within the world of finance. There were three keynote addresses, case study breakout sessions, and a panel discussion with Q&A. A networking reception capped off the day-long event. Complemented by other programs and courses in the finance curriculum, this conference is now a platform for students to learn about and pursue a career in the field of private equity.
