Our focus is on teaching students to think analytically and analyze economic data, rather than providing training for a specific job function. The quantitative nature of the economics program in Krannert sets it apart and leads to higher starting salaries.

About 75 percent of our graduates go directly to the workforce, while 25 percent go directly to graduate school. Those heading to the workforce typically find employment as an analyst, economic consultant, manager, or statistician with positions in firms, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Those going on to graduate school typically enter PhD, Master’s, or professional programs in economics, law, finance, accounting, statistics, and other fields.
