Program Description
For some students, one or two weeks during spring break are not enough. They want something that puts their academic work to the test through real life application, even as they live and learn another culture.
The International Internship India provides a unique opportunity for students to globalize their resume through a working internship with Deming award-winning TVS Motor Company in Bangalore, India. Here, teams of two- to three-students work with mentors from TVS to consult on various issues and problems. They work daily at the TVS campus to complete their goal, and to present their solutions to senior management at the end of the internship.
This is a program for the explorer, the serious student, and the entrepreneur at heart. It provides exposure to the processes of manufacturing, logistics, supplier management, market segmentation, and more. It provides complete immersion in Indian business culture, and there are opportunities on weekends and evening to explore the local culture.
The program is open to graduate and undergraduate students in the Daniels School of Business and the College of Engineering. Rather than during spring break, this class usually takes place following May finals.
