The Krannert Communication Center offers competition experiences in Krannert courses and outside of the classroom.
Selected fall competitions the Krannert Communication Center provides support or implements programs with faculty, staff, other centers, alumni, and corporate partners.
Internal Case Feature: STAMINA IT Analytics Competition
Teams of four participants only have four hours to analyze a case and create a presentation to share their recommendations for over $5,000 in prize money.
In the fall of 2022, the Krannert Communication Center is starting a new workshop series and will be providing mentorship programs with alumni or faculty coaches to support teams participating in external case competitions.
Students can apply to participate in external competitions with other universities on the Pitch application. Selected competitions the Krannert Communication Center promotes in partnership with other universities and faculty are listed; offerings can vary year-by-year.
External Case Feature: University of Connecticut Global Case Challenge
The University of Connecticut Global Case Challenge addresses multiple geographical regions and multiple functional areas. Krannert selects and sends four business students to compete. Students from different universities are put on new teams formed into an entirely new and diverse team for the competition.
We offer coaching and workshops to help novice and experienced teams navigate case experiences.
In the fall and spring, we offer a Krannert Communication Case Competition 101 workshop. This workshop is presented by the Communication Center’s interns and provides an opportunity to learn about what happens in a case competition and how students can get involved in our programs. Reach out to our team at KranCaseComps@purdue.edu if you would like to schedule this workshop. Following this workshop, students are encouraged to attend other workshops including Case Competitions 202 that get into more depth about preparing for case experiences.
