Melissa EvensDirector of Undergraduate Communication Center and Scholarships;
Melissa Evens serves as the Director of the Undergraduate Leadership Communication Studio and Undergraduate Scholarships in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Evens is responsible for the School of Management's Leadership Communication Studio (LCS), an area that she and a team have transformed into a digital express studio. In addition, she has a collaborated with students to grow internal and external case competition opportunities. She works to create opportunities for students to engage in both internal and external challenges. She also supports innovation, data driven-decision making and she manages the undergraduate scholarship portfolio.
Ms. Evens is a Purdue Alum with a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship through the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with New York University, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and the University of North Texas. In addition, she holds a corporate protocol and international protocol certificate from the Protocol School of Washington. Ms. Evens has a Bachelor of Science from the College of Health and Human Sciences and a Master of Science in Communication from the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue. She also is a trained student success coach with her training from LifeBound in Colorado and a trained facilitator with a certificate from the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program based out of the Kauffman Foundation.
Passionate about creating value and making a positive difference, she volunteers with the Purdue Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities to help push veterans forward. Ms. Evens is a board member of Water for Good, a nonprofit organization building water wells in the Central African Republic and a member of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Other selected community activites include: Master Gardeners of Tippecanoe County, National FFA, and 4-H Youth Organization programs.
