Sunny earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Purdue University, was a Hansard Scholar at the London School of Economics, and received a MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Sunny has spent fifteen years in business management, new venture formation and program sustainability.

Sunny’s expertise is on strategic alliance partnerships – identifying the how with the who to move programs forward and scale with technology. Her passion is in improving community and public health through education and access facilitated by a healthcare driven workforce (Community Health Workers, EMTs/Paramedics, Certified Recovery Coaches, Peer Recovery Specialists, Prenatal Care Coordinators, Doula-Birth Coaches, and Peer Navigators). Core areas of programming are: cultural competency & racial equity, maternal and child health, social determinants of health, community health management of chronic diseases, immediate interventions in opioid prevention, treatment and recovery, and telehealth infrastructure design and deployment.

Sunny was born in Taipei, Taiwan, raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and is a Hoosier by choice. She and her husband, Rob, enjoy spending time with their new baby, Auggie (age 1) and their dog, Piper.

Sunny was awarded Indiana Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2015, the Indiana Minority Health Coalitions William “Bill” Mays Community Titan Award in 2019, a finalist for 2019 National Association of Women’s Business Owner’s Trailblazer, and a finalist for the 2020 Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s TechPoint Rising Entrepreneur.

Sunny’s personal philanthropy focus is on education and women’s health. She has served on the Central Indiana Community Foundation, Women’s Fund Emeritus Board since 2017, the International School of Indiana, Emeritus Board since 2020, the Susan G. Komen of Central Indiana Board Member, Executive Committee since 2015, the Indiana University, Kelley School of Business Dean’s Council since 2014, and was the Chair for the American Heart Association Indianapolis Go Red for Women Chair for 2020-2021.

TechServ is a consulting and project management firm focused on Public Health, Public Safety & Higher Education sectors supporting strategic planning, grants & program management, training and technical assistance, and technology enabled data collection and outcomes measurement.
