Leadership Lafayette honors alumnus Jeff Love as 2017 recipient of the Robert L. Griffiths Award

Leadership Lafayette recognized one of its most distinguished alumni at the Annual Celebration reception on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Jeff Love, who earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Purdue's Krannert School of Management, received the Robert L. Griffiths Award named in honor of the founder of Leadership Lafayette.

The award, determined by the Board of Directors, recognizes an individual community member or business/organization located in the Greater Lafayette area, who has directly contributed to the success of Leadership Lafayette.

“We are thrilled to have an opportunity to honor an individual who has supported Leadership Lafayette over the past 15 years and given back to our community in so many ways,” shared Executive Director, Kitty Campbell. “Jeff Love is truly committed to making a difference and continues to be a true servant leader and advocate for Leadership Lafayette’s mission to develop leaders, build relationships, and strengthen our community.”

Love has held many leadership roles with Leadership Lafayette in his 15 years supporting the organization including Board President, Board Vice President, Board Treasurer and served as a cabinet member on the Campaign for Leadership Lafayette. He has served on other task forces and committees within the organization as well as creating the first Diversity Scholarship for Leadership Lafayette and was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Leadership Award in 2009.

Since 1982, Leadership Lafayette has prepared 1361 individuals to become active in volunteer service and community leadership. Nearly 800 program alumni still reside in the Greater Lafayette area serving more than 75 nonprofit organizations. The mission of Leadership Lafayette is to develop leaders, build relationships and strengthen community.
